Hey there, Ryan here. Here's a quick guide on how to use this retro calculator.
For a simple calculation (like 2 + 2):
Just type your first number (e.g., press 2).
Press the operator you want (e.g., +).
Type your second number (e.g., press 2 again). You'll see the full problem (2 + 2) on the screen.
Press the big green equals button (=) to get your answer.
To keep using your answer (like 5 x 5 = 25, then x 4):
Do your first problem (e.g., 5 * 5 =). The display will show 25.
Just press your next operator (e.g., *). The calculator will automatically use 25 as the first number.
Type your next number (e.g., 4) and press =.
You'll get the new answer (100).
Back Button: This button lets you delete a number.
AC ("All Clear"): This is your reset button. It completely resets the calculator to zero.
This little window (right below the main screen) shows a list of your past calculations.
If it gets too cluttered, just press the small red Clear button in the history box's corner to wipe it clean.
Privacy First: This calculator runs 100% in your browser. No data, calculations, or history are ever saved, stored, or sent anywhere. As soon as you refresh the page, it's all gone.
This is a simple, fun calculator designed for everyday math. It's not a scientific calculator, so it doesn't do super complex algebra or graphing.
It tries its best with long decimal numbers, but it will round them or use scientific notation (e.g., 1.23e+16) to make them fit. For doing your taxes or building a rocket, maybe use a dedicated app. 😉
